Published Work

Nothing to report yet — but hopefully soon!

Emily is actively developing and submitting a growing body of children's work and looks forward to adding published titles here. In the meantime, agents, editors, and publishing professionals are welcome to contact Emily for access to projects that are currently available for representation or consideration.

What To Expect

Emily's work takes poignant moments of family life and reveals the joy, heart, humor, and strong characters molded there. She is especially drawn to stories that feel emotionally true to children's experiences while still giving adults some nuggets of gold to enjoy as well.

Much of Emily's work is visual by nature. She tends to create highly illustrated concepts, where the words and images can carry different parts of the storytelling and create room for many threads to exist in a story — so that re-reading will reveal a richness of visual jokes, emotional beats, and secondary narrative moments.

Emily frequently explores the inner lives of children whose brains work a little differently. Her ADHD-collection of stories aim for nuance rather than labels: the humor, intensity, creativity, challenges, boredom, emotion, impulsivity, imagination, and surprising strengths that can all exist in the same person.

  • Picture books and highly illustrated stories
  • Family-centered stories with emotional heart
  • Distinctive, child-driven character voices
  • Unique metaphors and teaching tools
  • Humor with warmth
  • Neurodivergent experiences handled with nuance and empathy
  • Concept-driven stories with strong visual storytelling potential
